Here is the first wedding video I ever shot back in June of 2011 at The Driskill Hotel in Austin, TX. Watching this video shows me a lot of areas that I’ve grown in videography over the past four years (smooth shots, exposure settings, and style adjustments), but it also encourages me that I have a natural gift for weddings, video, and editing.
I knew what was important, I was there before it happened, and I captured it. It also still gives me all the feelings it did back then watching the wedding over again, and that’s what I want for my clients. To be able in four years (and more!) to put on their wedding video again and feel everything they did the day it happened. For them to say to each other, “Man, I am so glad we did this video! I’m so glad we have these memories to re-live whenever we want!”
Specific things I love about this wedding are the cake cutting and the bouquet toss. For an inside venue, The Driskill Hotel provides some really great colors that make for great background images in the video. I love how happy Alex and Greg are throughout this whole video too! I bet it makes people smile even if they don’t know them!
