Early last year Bethany had an opportunity to go on a mission trip to through our church to New York partnered with a ministry called Global Gates Missions. Global Gates using the diversity of New York to reach people from different cultures and share the gospel with them. While on that trip, Global Gates mentioned that they needed more promotional material to show churches that were thinking of coming up and serving in their ministry. She was so excited their need fell right into our area of expertise that I think she called me that night form New York and told me about the opportunity!
After a few months, and some prayer, we felt like God was calling us to use our talents in New York. So without even having all our expenses covered yet, we just kind of trusted God and went for it! We lugged around tripods, monopods, lens bags, and cameras from Queens to The Bronx. It was definitely a lot of work, but we were able to see a lot of things and meet a lot of people, and we know the video and pictures we captured will really help Global Gates out a lot.
It’s definitely left me craving to go back to New York sometime though!
